Rules, Regulations, and Fees
Inspect Your Car
Check your car and send us pictures before your reservation so you're not held responsible for any damage or missing items. Make sure that the following items are always in the vehicle:
The vehicle registration form
Visor with information cards
Parking pass (if applicable)
If any of these items are missing, contact support by texting (629) 20-KINTO or by emailing us at email@example.com. Missing parking pass, fuel card, and phone holder will result in a $50 fee.
Obey all laws, keep safe distances, and don't keep your phone in your hand! We provide cell phone holders for a reason! If you do receive a traffic, toll, or parking citation, you are responsible for paying it promptly. If KINTO Share receives notice of unpaid citations, we will charge your payment card for the ticket and add a $30 processing fee.
Smoking will result in a detailing fee and suspension from the service. This includes vapes! If professional detailing is required to clean the vehicle, you will be charged $100.
Keep it Clean
Leave the car better than you found it. Check the back for messes passengers may have left. If you leave the vehicle dirty, you'll be charged $25. So please make sure that the car is clean before you end your reservation!
If the car is dirty, take a photo before you start your trip and text us/email us about it. If the car is not driveable, text us; we can help!
Stay Within 70 Miles
Unless expressly approved by KINTO Share (for a Uber/Lyft passenger request). If you do need to go over the 70 mile radius, please contact support at firstname.lastname@example.org or send us a text at (629) 20-KINTO for approval.
Fuel the Car
Leave the tank at least 1/4 full to avoid any fees. Please use the gas cards provided in every car. Before your reservation starts, check to make sure that the tank is at least 1/4 full. If it's not, please contact support by texting at (629) 20-KINTO and we'll charge the previous driver and see what we can do to resolve the situation.
If you don't have time to refuel, please extend your reservation. If you are unable to extend your reservation, please text us and we will work with you to figure this out.
No Pets Except in Carriers
All pets must be in carriers inside KINTO Share cars with the exception of service animals.
Return the Car in Time
Leave time to fuel up and traffic. Add some buffer time just to be safe. Everyone wants to start their reservations on time so please be mindful of time and don't be late returning your car!
If you are running late, please text us at (629) 20-KINTO so that we can reschedule any affected drivers. Please be aware that if you return a vehicle late, you will be charged $25/hr for any portion of an hour (max 3 hours).
Canceling Your Reservation
If you want to cancel your reservation, please do so 24 hours prior to your reservation. If you cancel less than 24 hours prior to your reservation, you will be charged lesser of 4 hours or the full reservation fee.
Properly Secure the Car
Properly secure the car prior to ending your reservation. Make sure that the car is locked and the windows are all rolled up. If the vehicle is not properly secure, you will be charged a $50 fee.
No shows for reservations will be charged the full reservation fee so please make sure that you are canceling your reservation if you no longer need a car.
All drivers driving KINTO Share cars must be an authorized driver on KINTO Share and for Uber/Lyft. Only the person who made the KINTO Share car reservation may drive that car. There will be an unauthorized driver fee of $250 and suspension from our service.
Vehicles Abandoned or Returned to the Wrong Location
If you no longer wish to continue with your reservation, please return the car to its original location and please end the reservation. Please return all cars to the exact location your picked your car up from. If the vehicle is returned to the wrong location or abandoned, you will be charged a $50 fee + all costs related to recovery.
Car Accident Protocol
If you get into an accident, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure that you're in a safe place
2. If they're are any injuries, please call 911
3. Text us at (629) 20-KINTO and let us know about the situation and we will give you a call back
4. If there are any issues at the time of the accident (no insurance, severe damage, intoxicated parties), call the police and request a police report
5. Take pictures of the other party's driver's license, vehicle license plate, vehicle damage (yours & theirs), insurance card, and registration
6. Get the other party's phone number, email, and current address
7. If the car is drivable, please drive it straight back to its home lot
8. If the car is not drivable, let us know and we will get roadside assistance to assist you
Please note that there is a damage fee that can be up to $1,000.
