Depending on availability, you may reserve your vehicle the same day you select one or book your rental one week in advance. If you are unable to locate a vehicle, we recommend expanding your location and book your car one week in advance. 

 

You may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund using the KINTO app with no penalty if you do so more than 24 hours before your scheduled start time.  

If you cancel your reservation in less than 24 hours before your scheduled start time, you will not be entitled to a refund.

You just received an email informing you that your application is approved. YAY! You will be happy to hear that insurance, maintenance, roadside assistance, and 24/7 customer assistance are all included in the KINTO rates.

 

How to Book Your First Rental

Open your KINTO Share app and reserve your first car by selecting the reservation type that works for you. 

Custom reservations: Sometimes, you need a car for a specific time. This option allows you the rent a vehicle for as low as 4 hours or up to 28 days. Cars in this fleet are model year 2021 and newer. 

Weekly reservations: If you prefer to secure a vehicle weekly, the weekly option is the best solution. You can rent a car for up to 28 days with weekly rentals.

You can reserve your car one week in advance. We have many locations conveniently located in select areas of California and Texas.

 

Pick up Your Car

With KINTO, you don’t need to visit a pick-up counter or worry about adding another key to your keyring. Our vehicles are located at various lots without an attendant available. We are just a text away if you have questions. Walk up to your reserved car, open your KINTO Share app, click the Check-in button, complete the check-in process, and start your drive. Your app will unlock/lock the car and start your vehicle.

 

Extend Your Reservation

Extending your reservation is easy and can all be done in the app. All you need to do is click the Edit Reservation button to start the process.

 

If you want to extend your reservation, we recommend doing so within the first 48 hours of starting your reservation, as this will be the only way to guarantee you can keep your car before we open it for other customers to reserve upon your return.

What if You Need Help?

We have an FAQ section in our KINTO app; click the question mark icon on the top right. Also, our customer service team is available 24/7; text us at 629-20-KINTO or email us at info@kinto-us.com. If you need the car registration paperwork or insurance card, they are readily available in a folder in the glove box. Time to Return the Car

When the time is up to return your car at the scheduled drop-off time, there are a few steps to help you through the in-app process.

  • Before you return it make sure you have enough time to fuel the car up to FULL fuel level or 80% charge it it’s an EV.
  • Return the vehicle to the same parking lot you picked it up from at any KINTO parking spot
  • It’s important to be a great KINTO community member, including cleaning up the inside of the car; please discard anything you and your passengers could have left behind.
  • Roll up the windows and lock the car using the KINTO app.

Vehicle Reservation Pick-up and Return

Please be aware that our pick-up and drop-off locations are at Toyota dealerships, private parking lots, Goodyear and Just Tires locations. Each will have its own operating hours when you make a reservation.

Adhere to the dates and times you selected, as the location may not always be open. In that instance, you cannot pick up or return the vehicle outside its operating hours. We recommend reviewing the article for your location selected to confirm details, including hours of operation and potential gate codes required. 

When making a reservation you can select between two reservation types

WEEKLY: If you prefer to secure a vehicle on a weekly basis, then the weekly option is the best solution. With weekly rentals you can rent a vehicle up to 28 days, then the vehicle must be returned. 

 

CUSTOM: Sometimes you need a car for a very specific amount of time. This option allows you the rent a vehicle for 4 hours or up to 28 days. Vehicles in this fleet start at model year 2021 and newer and are offered at Residence Inn/Marriott DFW Airport in Irving, TX, Fairfield Inn in Plano, TX and Cypress Waters in Irving TX. 

 

Checking out both options allows you to see more available inventory and increase your chances on finding a car. 

 

When you reserve a KINTO vehicle, you will have the opportunity to select the model year grouping in the following vehicle categories:

Compact, Crossover, Luxury SUV, Luxury SUV Midsize, Midsize, Midsize Premium, Minivan, SUV, SUV Midsize, SUV Premium, Hybrid Compact, Hybrid Midsize, Hybrid SUV, Hybrid SUV Midsize, or Electric Vehicle (EV models require access approval).

Vehicle categories vary by location and availability. We cannot accept vehicle preference requests, including specific models within each category, color, or trim level.
